Needleroll HD

I'm in a needleroll exchange on International & UK Robins and was cacking myself a bit as I'd never made one before. I set about stitching a new design, but then decided to look in my finished drawer to see if there was anything suitable in there that I could make into a needleroll. Lo and behold I found this Bent Creek design called Sign Of Spring that I think I finished in February that was perfect.

I hunted on the Focus on Finishing blog (it's in my list on the right hand side) for instructions and started off doing the first lot, but they were mighty complicated so I used the second lot instead, after unpicking the seam I'd already done. Two hours later I had the finished product which I'm really rather proud of. Think I might have to make some more of these.
