Yorkshire Dales

Earlier this week we went for a few days holiday in the Yorkshire Dales, in a little place called Ingleton. We drove down (with Mam and Dad) on Monday morning, and found our B&B. We were given a very warm welcome, with tea and cakes and a very chatty landlady called Debbie. After we unpacked our bags we decided to go for a gentle stroll up to Ingleborough Cave and have a look round it. Out of the four of us, there is only Craig who is relatively fit, so it was a very SLOW walk, but it was a lovely day and the nature trail on the way up there was interesting. We hadn't gone very far when we spotted this little fella sitting on a branch. By the time we were halfway there we were absolutely knackered but we soldiered on and managed to make it to the top of the hill, a mile and a half from where we parked the car. However, the tour round the cave would have taken another hour and another mile of walking and we were all too tired by then. So we had a sit down for 20 mins or so, and an ice cream before heading back down the hill. It was much easier going down, but we were shattered when we got back to the car. There was some lovely scenery.
